Remarks

Locus 34 was uncovered in locus 18, the fill associated with the human remains situated outside of locus 22. It is one of two complete vessels uncovered, and the only one that remains in tact. The vessel is highly diagnostic of EB II pottery even though it lacks any iconographic motifs. It is a a black on black burnished vessel with a small decorative handle without a hole at the base of its neck. The vessel is thin-rimmed and comprised of three parts neck, body, and accentuated base. There is a narrow incised line at the base of the neck. The diameter of the vessel is 126.19mm, the thickness of the lip is .88mm, and the height is 11.79mm. This vessel was found directly outside of locus 22, amidst the scattered deposit of human remains collectively referred to as locus 18. It is interestingly very similar -- albeit smaller -- to the complete vessel uncovered within locus 22. This vessel was sent for restoration.
