This context, situated in the northern extension of the unit, refers to the collapse to the west of the north-south terrace wall. Like locus 47, it was a fine-grained, dark brown matrix characterized by floating stones that ranged in size from 10-30cm and contained a high concentration of cultural materials. Specifically, we uncovered a dense assemblage of ceramics with some bone and obsidian. This context constituted the southern-most two meters of the three meter extension to the unit (it is adjacent to locus 52). Situated immediately north of locus 22 (the tomb structure) intense cleaning in this area should allow us to articulate the series of walls and construction phases in this part of the operation. Consistent with the rest of the operation the ceramics from this context were entirely EB.
