sod and topsoil removal for the northern extension of T19. started 25 Jul 2008. covered rock carpet locus 124 in the eastern sector of the trench, and lighter, redder soils in the western section of the trench (locus 129). this locus was, of course, deeper in the downhill parts of the trench where it was also devoid of the shallow layer of fallen stones.
