The rim of this large jar sherd has two indentations on the flat top of the rim, before it "rolls" down to the shoulder. The vessel doesn't really have a neck. There are a few incidental nail incisions on the side and top of the rim. The inclusions in the fabric of this sand is not really very coarse sand; it's actually crushed black rock or grit. Other than the crushed black rock, there are medium sand inclusions In the fabric. The exterior of the sherd is quite mottled, making it difficult to choose a single Munsell designation. Diameter might be incorrect. Using a slightly incorrect rim chart for sherds of this size.
