I dont like the term bread mould, so Im calling this a pan. But it is clearly for cooking as the carbon traces on the interior surface show. The exterior of the base and the interior of the body/base transitions are also darker than other portions, suggesting heating from below and cooking within. The base and rim plans are unclear, but likely rectangular. There are enormous pebbles in the vessel wall, as well as granite grit, mica, and coarse sand. This vessel would conduct heat VERY well! The rim has a shallow indent, indicating the possibility of some sort of lidding. This may mean that the pan could act like a true oven. While there are to bands noted in the core, they are recorded that way simply to show the mottled nature of the core after many reheatings--although the darker portion of the break is closer to the interior surface, than the exterior.
