This body sherd likely derives from a large storage vessel, but the interior surface has been completely abraded, roasted, or laminated away. While the colors are dominantly black throughout, one end of the sherd becomes increasingly oxidized, transitioning from blacks to grays (exterior) and reds (core). The exterior surface is covered in skew markings, either basket/textile impressions or burnishing marks. But they continue onto a non-burnished portion of the exterior surface, suggesting they may be impressions. Limited mica popping on the exterior surface, no visible corrosion.
