10.30.06 A rim to body sherd of a large, red polished bowl. The shape recalled a phiale in that there is an edge break between the shoulder and the body, but the fact that a should can be differentiated from the neck makes it different from most phiale. There is not a smoothly concave neck, but rather a straight shoulder and a straight neck that are joined with a slight curve. The rim is two part but not really outward. One part slants down from the point at the top and then the second part bends back gently into the axis of the neck.
