Exterior color should be Reddish Brown 5YR 4/3 only. This shoulder fragment is rather crudely fashioned, as the decorations and surface thickness are highly inconsistent. Light surfaces belie a reduced-fired core. Rotational or impression striations on the interior and exterior are also highly irregular and skewed. Unclear if larger inclusions are present in the fabric than medium sand, but there are a few clues in the breaks. The internal surface features a firing cloud or carbon markover 40% of its surface. 30% of the exterior has the same. Little corrosion or visible mica. Breaks are smooth.
