This is a shoulder fragment from a large LB storage jar, perhaps a karas, similar to T2C.19.C.01 in the Municipal Museum. It is unclear if more furrows and belts follow the two belts on this fragment, but it is certainly possible. The vessel seems to have been nicely polished, but the external surface is now 80% covered by light yellowish brown corrosion. The internal surface is heavily abraded, so that very little of the original slip surface remains. Internal surface is also 80% covered in the same corrosion. Some external mica pops. External polishing lines are arranged horizontally. Like T2C.19.C.01, this vessel has a uni-color, compact fabric with larger grit and very coarse sand inclusions visible in the internal surface. Breaks are smooth.
