Base-body fragment (undecorated) from a small LM vessel, probably a jar. There is a slight lip or suggested indent where the body and base meet. While severely abraded, polish remains on the entire of the exterior body. There is none on the base. The interior is much lighter in color than the exterior, a highly visible contrast. The first core band, in fact, is composed of this thick interior slip or layer. Besides the fine sand, medium and coarse sand particles are also present in the fabric in moderate frequencies. Limited amounts of these inclusions are visible perforating the interior surface. Light yellowish brown corrosion covers 15% of the exterior surface. Breaks are rough.
