Designated MAE213--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. An undecorated fragment from small, largely unidentifiable vessel. The majority of this sherd consists of shoulder, although the crease of a beginning neck is apparent rick at the superior break. There is a hint of a possible impressed decoration on the upper left superior shoulder, but not enough is preserved to conclusively identify it. The interior of the sherd is almost completely missing (there may have been 3 core bands instead of one) and the sherd now consists of two pieces, not one. The spalled interior is 50% mottled with Reddish Brown 5YR 5/3. In addition to the fine sand, significant amounts of medium, coarse sand, and occasional pebbles are visible in the fabric and moderately perforating the exterior. Moderate pyrite pops can be seen in the exterior. Breaks are smooth.
