Small LB jar with mottled exterior. Pebble temper extruding in places through surface particularly near base. Mica spalling from surface in places. In general temper highly visible on surface. Some vertical burnishing on lower body but unclear if an intentional design element. One third of shoulder-neck covered with black firing cloud. Vessel shoulder decorated with irregular circumferential lines. Two bracketing lines appear to be incised with a linear tool while intervening lines combed. Lines bleed into one another in places. Vessel complete except for tw chips in rim. Rotational striations on interior surface. Large crack 2/3 of the way down the body may indicate something about manufacturing. slight lip between base and body.
