Place: Ar/Ge.T19.110

this is an area of stones and soil which lies at the intersection of the floor area (loci 107, 105) and the western walls (containing locus 104). this area was excavated lower than the floor area in 2006, and conserved with plastic. the plastic was removed 6 jul 2008. this locus continued to be problematic, as stones thought to be part of the adjacent wall (locus 121) were later found to lie on top of the preservation plastic: it is now thought that 2008 locus 110 is contiguous with 2006 locus 8, which was left just above a soil change which is related perhaps to the pit/lens feature locus 113 found in the profile of and above locus 107. the locus designation 110 was suspended as the internally undifferentiated locus 107 was taken out from off of the bedrock terrace in a single pass which moved from the eastern bedrock slope to the intersection of LB wall locus 119 with the north baulk: what had been an area distinguished by plastic, unremoved rock collapse and lower elevation was seen to be incorporated within locus 107, though containing in its western extent the aforementioned soil color change (locus 113), perhaps caused by collapse events and differential soil drainage, etc.
