Place: Ar/Ge.T22.19

This locus is just north of Locus 16. It is to the west of the central basin in the central room of T22. Its extent will be measured when it meets up with Locus 17. There is a ton of charcoal from this locus. Of the 7 ceramics bags, 4 are of a pithos sherd scatter that we had been digging in situ but which was removed piece by piece one evening by "visitors." The matrix is the same as in Locus 17 (studded with charcoal, of a light brown soil, with lenses of black soil, clay lenses, and some reddish areas), but because it was originally thought to lie between two "arms" of the clay feature in the center of the room, it was designated a different locus.
