Place: Ar/Ge.T20.104

This is the entirety of the EB surface found first underneath the pile of rocks just south of the terrace wall that bounds T20 and T22. In this locus, Hasmik found sherds of a vessel that are now mostly reconstructed. This locus is distinguished to the north on its eastern half by a wall (locus 107) and on its western half by a soil change that delineates locus 101. This is the EB surface on which Ar/Ge.T20.108 (a vessel) was found, as well as an obsidian core (Ar/Ge.T20.104.L.01). The soil is an orange, packed matrix though it is not as hard as some of the LB clay surfaces found in T22. The clay surface was found to extend westward to the north-south wall that runs along the west baulk of this trench, and then to flank that wall southward to the EB room on the south baulk (which is locus 106). In all, the shape of the locus is a giant L. The length was measured along its greatest east-west extent, and its width was measured along its greatest north-south extent, however, its area is not just a rectangle based on the length and width, because this locus is L-shaped. Area measured using measurements taken of all relevant parts of the locus.
