Designated MAE242--radiographed, XRF, SAXS. Shoulder fragment from an LM vessel--likely just s, but could be n/s or s/b. The decorative schema consists of a single circumferential incised line on the most superior portion of the sherd, measuring 0.335 cm in width. The exterior appears to have been polished at some point, with significant amounts of it now abraded off, leaving only incidental flashes on the superior exterior. The interior has become highly eroded and flaky--20-30% is missing. Several circumferential rotational scratch marks are visible on the exterior, inferior to the decoration. In addition to the fine sand, significant frequencies of medium and coarse sand are visible in the fabric. The external surface is moderately perforate by inclusions and burnouts, while the coarse interior shows all inclusion material. Breaks are smooth.
