An undecorated black on black LM vessel, likely LB, highly abraded, but polished on both the internal and external surfaces. The fragment is restored from 3 sub-fragments. Convexity of the base is ever so slight. The external surface is much more abraded than the internal surface, leaving very little visible polish and/or polishing marks. The internal surface features many more polish marks, which do not run circumferentially, but in perpendicular/skew sets of horizontal lines throughout. Besides the dominant fine sand inclusions, very fine sand and medium sand particles are also visible in the breaks. Even larger particles (as large as very coarse sand) appear to perforate the internal and external surfaces of the fragment (the external much more than the internal). Breaks are rough. Brown corrosion is very slight.
