Remarks

The individual was articulated but the preservation was not very good due to the wet clay matrix. Flexed on the right side. Legs flexed with the left on top of the right. The left foot was closest to the lowest vessel (13). The arms were not flexed. The right humerus was straight towards the legs and/or pelvis. The left humerus was on top of the left ribis and the radius and ulna were slightly angled/bent at the joint w/humerus--also down towards the legs. Difficult to distinguish where the hand bones were in relation to the legs. The skull had actually fallen forward on the face. This movement may have resulted in the atlas (1st vertebrae) being moved out of articulation. However, a patella was also out of place. Perhaps a rodent or other post depositional process? The body was in alignment with the head to the north. 4 vessels were associated with the interment (loci 10, 11, 12, 13).
