A bluish-gray whetstone fragment consisting of perhaps half of the original tool, an oblong rounded instrumnet. There is significant corrosion on all the surfaces and the broken surface is rather abraded and smooth. The stone could be "hard granite." The "proximal" tip is pocked or dented, the other end snapped where the tool is broken. The break is smooth, but not flat. Chemically cleaned on 2008-12-01.
