Undecorated reddish LB cup or bowl--one of several of this handmade type found in Aragatsiberd LB contexts. The preserved fragment consists of two mended rim-to-body fragments. The superior rim surface has a consistent rectangular shape, but the surface ungulates superiorly/inferiorly, making it highly uneven. Listed above as Reddish Brown 5YR 5/3, the external surface is in fact mottled with Black 7.5YR 2.5/1. The interior surface is the above noted Reddish Brown 5YR 5/4 on the lower interior body and rim, but Weak Red 10R 5/4 on the upper body. While there are no clear polishing marks on either surface, the Black area on the exterior is rather shiny and is perhaps a firing cloud (glassy look). The internal vessel surface features wiping or trimming marks--they are wide enough to have been made by fingers. In addition to the dominant medium sand fabric inclusions noted above, fine, coarse, and very coarse sand particles are also present. Some larger Very Dark Gray GY1 3/N inclusions are even grit size. Inclusions of all these sizes perforate both the internal and external surfaces in moderate frequencies. Breaks are rough.
