A rather thick body sherd from an indeterminate vessel. It is distinguished by extremely large, black inclusions (basalt, grog?), grit or pebble size, as well as the presence of very large chaff burnouts on the interior surface, slip. Some of these burnouts are as long as 3.5cm. Approximately half of the internal slip has flaked of the interior surface. The exterior surface also features skew impressions and shallower organic burnouts. In addition to the grit and pebble inclusions, very coarse sand, coarse sand, and medium sand are also present in the fabric in moderate frequencies. Breaks are hackly. Other sherds from this same locus (Ar/Ab.AB3.22.C.01 and 03) have similar inclusions, but clearly attribute to another vessel.
