A small KA pot with a light-colored reddish interior (and exterior rim) and gray exterior. Because this fragment exhibits a longer neck than most other EB sherds from Aragatsiberd it is coded here as a pot, not a beaker, but if it was more complete it may just as easily be a beaker. The rim is heavily abraded and slightly chipped. The simple decoration schema consists of a narrow, two-line zigzag register placed between two light furrows. One portion of the zigzag hosts a third, centerline. The exterior surface color is listed as Very Dark Gray GY1 3/N, but this is only the color below the mid-neck, above which the color is Light Brown 7.5YR 6/3. The interior surface features different colors on different parts due to the fact that it is polished down to the beginning of the interior shoulder. The interior rim and neck are the Dark Reddish Gray 5YR 4/2 color noted above, while the interior shoulder is Gray 10YR 5/1. The core band color, while listed as Very Dark Gray GY1 3/N, is also mottled with Black GY1 3/N. While the dominant fabric inclusion is the above listed "fine sand,” there are numerous very coarse sand grains present. These coarse grains perforate the interior and exterior surfaces in several locations. Horizontal polish marks are visible on the polished portions of both the interior and exterior surfaces. Below the polished interior, horizontal rotational striations are visible. Breaks are rough and there is no significant corrosion evidence.
