Pottery: Ar/Ts.BC12.B06.20.C.01

A LB bowl which was identified post-excavation as its own vessel. It has been restored with significant gypsum added--approx. 75%. The exterior color should read Dark Reddish Gray 10R 4/1 (not 3/1), but even that color is not an exact approximation. The exterior surface is motteld with this color and with Light Brown 7.5YR 6/4. The interior surface color has the same problem--Dark Reddish Gray 10R 4/1 (not 3/1)--and is also mottled with Light Brown 7.5YR 6/4. The vessel's form is best described as a typical "deep" LB bowl (for its size)--a slightly shouldered bowl. The decorative schema consists of to narrow circumferential furrows on the neck (~2.1cm) which are followed below by a single register of circumferential obliquq hatches running upper right to lower left. Each hatch is aprox. 1.7 cm long. The ornamentation finishes with a final narrow circumferential furrow below the hatch register. Very coarse sand inclusions or even grit can be seen perforating all surfaces, especially the exterior rim surface. The lack of rotational striations on the interior surface and the irregular (circular) rim plan suggest that the vessel is likely handmade. No significant visible corrosion.
