Place: Ar/Ge.T19.506

Charcoal was found in the NW (at 2283.03 m) and SW corners and collected as Ar/Ge T19.506.C14.01. A retouched obsidian flake was collected as Ar/Ge T19.506.L01. In the SW corner, the are two raised lines of black, compact soil (5cm across), which meet in a 90 angle, very near to 4-5 rim sherds as the same level, as well as other large pieces of ceramics. The lines are at depth of 2283.06 m and have been photographed. The “berm” itself is 5cm tall. The cross-section of the “berm” feature is roughly circular. On the western side of the “berm” feature, below it in depth (2282.96 m), we found a bronze button (Ar/Ge T19.506.M.01). In L506, we found part of a ceramic loom weight (Ar/Ge T19.506.CO.01) in the southern half of the locus. There is a small concentration of animal bones (mostly cow), east of the “berm” feature, along the S edge of the locus, 2.5 m east of the datum, including a piece of worked bone (Ar/Ge T19.506.B.01). A soil sample was taken from inside the corner formed by the “berm feature” (Ar/Ge T19.506.M.01), and another just south of the first sample (Ar/Ge T19.506.MB.02). Some burned bones are coming out of an area in the SE corner, which are in a small bag in the bag of bones from the locus. One of the burned bones has cutmarks on it.
