This locus is overburden between 5-20 cm below locus 1. See notebook for complete elevations. The matrix is a dark, loamy soil with some weeds and rocks. This locus produced 3 bags of ceramics and 1 bag of bones and 1 bag of obsidian. The ceramics seem to be a mix of late bronze age and iron age types. Two courses of the walls on the NE and SE sides of the operation were revealed. The locus was closed on 7/4/10, and divided into Locus 3 in the northern/eastern section of the trench, and Locus 4 in the southern/western area of the trench.
