Remarks

This is a triangular shaped locus of lighter (more yellowish) soil found in the E corner, inside of the room in WSI2. There is a line of rocks running diagonally from the SE to the NE wall of the room, and the lens may be contained by this wall, but it is unclear as of yet. Update: the yellowish, clayey soil with inclusions is currently being uncovered both toward the south and the northwest of the trench, so locus 3 is expanding. In the end, locus 3 expanded to reach 6 m long (because locus 11 originally extended for the first 5 m, measuring from the NW edge of the trench) by approximately 2.7 m wide, depending on where along the NE wall you measure.
