Locus 4 is the dark brown, loamy, fine-grained soil matrix directly below the topsoil layer. Its corner elevations are in EF's notebook. The 6.0 m length is measured on the NW side; the locus was 6.55 on the NE side; 11.00 on the SW side; and then 5.34 m on the SE side. It essentially was found below the topsoil layer inside the walls of the room, but excluding the far east corner, where locus 3, the lighter matrix immediately appeared below the topsoil layer. Although the same matrix is still extending downward to the western side of the trench, this locus is closed as I am leaving the trench for a few days to return to Yerevan. The materials were quite light.
