Brown clayish layer below locus 5 wash layer in 2x5m expansion of trench. Corresponds to locus 3 in original 5x5m portion of trench, which I interpreted as layer of collapsed daub walls that eroded together as a uniform clay layer. Also screened this level with the prior thought that it was part of a floor level.
