Remarks

This feature is a quasi-circular depression found while troweling the surface of Locus 11 in the northern area of WSAC (88 cm from NW baulk, 116 cm from NE baulk). The depression is filled with a darker, moist, loamy soil, similar to Locus 7 above, but with modern roots and grasses, and a lot of bugs, suggesting some sort of area that has been caching water. The depression had no charcoal, however, and few bones, and no ceramics, and was rather shallow. The soil removed from the feature was declared Locus 13 and bagged for testing. This depression possibly occurs within the 'floor' of Locus 6/10 although it is difficult to tell without knowing where the floor appears.
