This feature, in the northern quadrant of WSAC, appeared as a small circular change in soil color, filled with a darker soil than the medium brown matrix around it. When excavated this darker soil (declared Locus 16) produced no charcoal and there was not enough to sample; a couple sherds were embedded in the feature as well as some fragmentary faunal remains. It is possible that it was a posthole that filled with the darker soil of Locus 7 above it, although it was relatively shallow and not completely uniform. See notebook for measurements and elevations.
