This consists of the soil matrix that filled Feature 15, and was darker soil than the medium brown clay matrix around it. When excavated this darker soil produced no charcoal and there was not enough to sample; a couple sherds were embedded in the feature as well as some fragmentary faunal remains. It is possible that it was a posthole that filled with the darker soil of Locus 7 above it, although it was relatively shallow and not completely uniform.
