Place: Ar/Ge.T19.529

After coming down in L526, most of the locus had turned to the brown/grey silty loam matrix (like L525), so I opened up a new locus (L529). There is still an area of yellow/brown soil in the NW corner of the locus. At the bottom of L526/top of L529 there is a large posthole which is L528 on the northern edge of the locus. In L529, we found a piece of worked stone (Ar/Ge.T19.529.L.01) in the NE corner of the locus. We found a piece of worked bone (Ar/Ge.T19.529.B.01) near the LBA wall in the NW corner of the locus. We found a small piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T19.529.L.02) just east of the LBA wall at about the center of the locus. A large number of bones (with some ceramics and obsidian) came out of the NW corner of L529. We found another small piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T19.529.L.03), just south of the northern wall of the trench. We took some charcoal for dating (Ar/Ge.T19.529.C14.01) from the southern part of the locus.
In L529, we took a sample of charcoal (Ar/Ge.T19.529.C14.02) from along the northern wall of the trench. We found a retouched flake/spokeshave (Ar/Ge.T19.529.L.04) in the center of the locus. There are a large number of bones coming out of the locus. We found another piece of charcoal (Ar/Ge.T19.529.C14.03) in the SW corner of the trench. We found a ceramic pendant/ring/something(Ar/Ge.T19.529.CO.01) in the SE part of the locus. We also found a worked bone scraper (Ar/Ge.T19.529.B.02).
