This locus constitutes the lighter brown/more clay matrix in WSAD that appears to hug the partition wall and the NE wall, and which extends into the center of the operation; it is likely a result of leaching from the stones, although it is possible that it represents the top of a potential cultural level. The matrix (see notebook for sketch and elevations and measurements) seems to extend toward the potential door in the partition wall between WSAC and WSAD. This locus was closed 7/21/10 after another pass that revealed a greater extent of the medium brown matrix.
