Remarks

This feature designates a linear arrangement of stones in the eastern corner of operation WSAD, in what appears to be an alignment that connects to the NE wall of the room, one course deep. The feature was declared 7.27.10 and appears to rest on the brown clay matrix of Locus 14, but it is unclear whether it rests on a floor surface. The stones appear to be laid flat and occur about 20 cm below what was Locus 11 above (the tops of the stones however appear about 5 cm below). This locus also consists of an orange/yellow brown matrix between the stones of this feature. The soil matrix that the stones bracket with the NE wall has been declared Locus 17. See notebook for sketch and elevations; photograph was taken 7.27.10. Elevation given is top of center stone.
