This was a locus that I ended up deciding was foolish to open, as the matrix was actually just the same as Locus 11's soil, the yellow, clayey soil with various charcoal lenses. Locus 13 was opened when Locus 3 was closed in the east corner, but we never dug it. Instead, we took Locus 11 eastward from the north corner, effectively absorbing Locus 13. In sum, Locus 13 is a ghost locus.
