The complete extent of Locus 14 was not determined when the locus was first created, because its border with Locus 11 was not fully articulated; thus the measurements given are its closing measurements. The length is measured from the NW wall of the trench to the SE wall. The width is the width along the SE side; along the NW, the locus is narrower because locus 11 encroaches into locus 14 on this side. It is a wash layer, with a darker soil, and only a little material compared with the loci on the other side of the trench.
