This is a strange, darker soil matrix that runs in almost a rectilinear pattern, in an L-shape, found in the matrix of Locus 14. It is approximately 35 x 25 cm and lies about 5 m from the NE edge of the trench and about 3 m from the SE edge of the trench (note: measured from the trench, not the walls). When it was troweled carefully, it did not seem to be significant; it was found considerably above any floor level and may have been an animal burrow.
