This locus (the same as WSAC.23) corresponds to the soil underneath three large stones that made up part of the SE wall of WSAC in the southern corner of operation WSAC, which are fill from the blocked doorway between WSAC and WSAD. These stones were removed 7/30/10 and Locus 23 falls in both WSAC and WSAD, and constitutes the dark, loamy, root-filled soil of the overburden/wash. It is beneath Locus 3 in WSAD.
