The matrix of locus 17 is the same as that of locus 11, although the medium brown clayey silt of this locus has expanded to cover more of the interior of the room, including two \\\"wings\\\" that extend into what was previously the area of locus 14. Locus 17 measures 8.10 meters in length, extending from the northwest to southeast wall. Its width is variable--5.30 in the center, at its narrowest, and 6.20 on the two wings, where it widens toward the south corner and the west corner. This locus has accounting errors in the bags; EF and LK both worked in this locus, and because of a timecrunch, the bags were sent for washing before the locus was closed, so unfortunately, some bags may be unaccounted for. 8 ceramic bags were definitely found, 7 of which were read in 2010, 1 of which was found after LK left Aparan.
