Remarks

This locus covers the eastern quadrant of the room, bounded on two sides. To the south, it is bounded by the 2 course line of stones that runs perpendicular to the southeast wall (Locus 18), while to the northwest it's bounded by the single file line of stones, later made locus 25. The matrix at the top of the locus was much the same as locus 22, although we came across the sterile clay floor prep much faster in this locus. In profile, under the SE wall, it became clear that there is a dramatic step downward in the level of the sterile prep, right behind Locus 18. Thus, it appears that this locus was raised up above the level of Locus 22 and was a platform.
