Semi-circular stone feature embedded in the paved stone floor in operation WSAD, in the western corner of the operation. This basin-like feature is at a slightly lower elevation than the floor and is directly beneath two large stones that make up the face of the SE wall in WSAD, part of the partition wall between WSAC and WSAD; particularly those stones in the area of the doorway. This feature therefore existed before either the construction of this wall, or before the blockage of the doorway. It is also not at the same elevation as the internal arrangement of stones in the doorway. Potentially only half of it is visible beneath these large stones, with about a 48 cm diameter; the basin or mortar shape is filled with a dark, silty clay matrix. One bag of soil was taken for analysis on 8/6/10. It was revealed while excavating Locus 21, and therefore rests underneath the thin layer of clayish-matrix that covers the floor in this area. See notebook for sketch and elevations.
30/6/2011- KK entered the stratum as 1 (?) because the radiocarbon dates for a large piece of charcoal from Locus 31, the context directly surrounding this feature, came back as Early Bronze Age.
