Pit running along large eastern wall of the operation. Didn't fully excavate this pit because it would undermine the wall. This appears to have been the cause of the slumping of wall stones visible along this portion of the wall. Perhaps the wall was built during a later phase of the LBA without knowledge of the pit, or they filled it in and built over it on purpose. If the latter it shows poor architectural practice. If the former, maybe just bad luck.
