Remarks

Large, semi-curvilinear, U- or V-shaped stone wall trending E-W through the northern half of operation. Wall is 3-4 courses tall, and leans back to the south suggesting at first that the enclosed space may have been semi-subterranean (though excavations on south side of the wall are even deeper than floors on the north side (e.g., locus 9). The wall joins the walls uncovered by Dima in SLT 11 to the west, and curves around the locus 9 floor to form what seems to be a squared off corner stone near where it abuts the small locus 15 wall. The wall then trends ESE where is may enclose another space to the east, which we'll try to open next season. This eastern portion of the wall may be an addition, or at least may contain a door way that was closed near the central corner stone, as several courses line up in an oddly regular way in this portion of the wall. Will need C14 dates to assign a Stratum code.
