Stratum immediately below locus 1, exterior to the stone quadrant. Locus 3 was kept separate from locus 2, in case the quadrant turned out to be architecture, which it did not. There is no difference between soil strata thicknesses between locus 2 and 3.
Potsherds (LBA) are of a larger size from those found in locus 1. Almost no obsidian found. Increasing amounts of animal bones. Finds are similar to locus 2, except in larger amounts.
