A cleaning locus that contained a couple of particularly large rocks. These were broken and removed, and then the area was cleaned to match the elevation of the adjacent locus (the bottom elevation of locus 8). While digging this locus it became clear that part of the SW wall (about 9m from the W corner) may be leaning on the significant wall fall about 9m along the SW wall from the W corner. As with the rest of the soil along the SW wall, the soil matrix at the bottom elevation of the locus changes from a dark brown silt to a reddish clay.
