Remarks

This locus is the chamber for the Achaemenid burial we came across on July 15. We'd been cleaning the wall stones between SLT9 and SLT 13 and unwittingly uncovered this burial. Since the burial architecture was already uncovered by the time I realized what it was, I made the chamber locus 1. It provides a lot more context to the fiala we recovered a few days earlier that seemed to be a random whole Achaemenid vessel between two LBA operations. But now it is clear was place on a flat stone at the west end of the burial. Locus includes a radiocarbon sample recovered from the screen (Ar/Ts.SLT15.1.c14.1).
