Place: Ar/Ge.T31.20

The matrix in Locus 20 is the same tan clay, mottled with medium and dark brown and with small lenses of ash and charcoal, as seen in Locus 10 and Locus 12. There is still quite a bit of charcoal in the matrix. The material densities seem lower for this locus than for earlier levels. There is an area of burnt beam and rocks in the NE corner, just east of Locus 18. The long burnt beam running north-south is Locus 21 and the concentration of beams and rocks in the NE corner itself is Locus 22. There is another beam, north of the center of the locus, which is now Locus 23.
While cleaning the eastern side of the wall (Locus 25), we found a small piece of bronze (Ar/Ge.T31.20.M.01) at 2284.00 masl. It was found among the rocks near Locus 25, which are either wall fall or another wall. EBA ceramics were also coming out from among the rocks.
We found a large piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.20.L.01) south of the large rock in the northern wall (Locus 46) at a depth of 2284.22 masl. It was lying at an angle in the matrix. We found a tuff wheel (Ar/Ge.T31.20.L.02) near Locus 14 and Locus 23, at 2284.13 masl. There is another large groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.20.L.03), which is lying flat, just south of the large rock in the northern wall (Locus 46) of the trench, at 2284.12 masl. It is broken into two pieces.
we found a small piece of groundstone (Ar/Ge.T31.20.L.04) near the wall (which is now Locus 25) at 2284.09 masl. In the SW corner of Locus 20, we found a polishing stone (Ar/Ge.T31.20.L.05) at 2284.18 masl. From the screened material from the SW corner of Locus 20, We found a fragment of an andiron (ArGe.T31.20.CO.01).
