Place: Ar/Ts.WSN.49

This locus is directly adjacent to locus 48, to the northwest. I opened it in order to trace out the floor and reach the prep surface beneath. In other words, I regard this locus as a cultural level--the level just above the prep surface. The matrix is a silty clay (or a very clay-y silt). The room is slanted, so we are troweling this locus rather than using shovels. The locus began at the level of the flagstone floor and will end beneath it.
