Locus of the upper overburden beneath the topsoil (Locus 1) in WSAC3, a dark loose loam with a mixture of bronze and Iron III ceramics. The locus is delimited by the SW wall of the room and the NW wall in the western corner of the operation, and the NE and SE baulks. See notebook for sketch and elevations; given is center. Piece of modern metal from this locus (horseshoe?).
