Remarks

This locus is situated in the very northern most corner of the trench, where a perpendicular line of stones that projects into the room from the NW wall peters out into a jumble of three stones that barely reaches the flagstone floor. To the east, the locus is bounded by the large stone of locus 31. In this area, the matrix is a tannish silty clay. Just adjacent to the northeast wall, there is an enigmatic packed clay substance shaped roughly like an arrow, with the point facing to the east. Very odd. The locus bottomed out in a semi-circular arrangement of rocks (later designated locus 63) that bounds a small area against the northern corner.
